i'm with you on your idea jaquio, but it falls short when the facts enter the equation.

anticheat.dll is the only updated anticheat available, and it is up to the day updated.

its people like randy who either 1)cheat and hide it, and try to discourage the participation of anyone remotely interested 2) dont careabout the community and doesnt look up appropriate information, 3) just like to talk nonsense on a forum just for the sake of argument

yes gator you are correct your criticism is in a form of  personally attacking me and you obviously don't get what i'm trying to do like the whole lot of people launching attacks on my character, especially xyfe. as far as i'm concerned people can think what they want about my "motive" to get holywater as a valid anticheat and  i could care less. i'm an expert player and believe the only way to improve the gaming structure is to try different avenues and learn from which is effective and ineffective. i'm totally for having r1q2 and the antiche.at that goes along with it.. but unfortunately it is not adequate i nthe respect of total protection(because people are now hiding their cheats in quake 2 subfolders hence the anticheat client does not pick this upanother loophole) and not compatible to be used simutaneously with any other client.

I have a big mouth? Uh, I know the creator of holywater you idiot, as does sean who posted here as well. The last version came out a year ago, then he totally dropped it and developed q2advance. All holywater was, was nocheat with a different name with updates that got hacked every single time just as easily as NC did (BEING THAT THEY ARE THE SAME THING, LITERALLY). Why do you think EP dropped holywater and made q2advance? Wow and now you're claiming to be an expert gamer.. this is hilarious. 1v1 me on dm1 I will beat you using shotgun only.

Normally, I would come to the aid of Xtyfe if he's being badmouthed, but defense is unneeded here. JaQuIO, people would take you much more seriously if you would stop verbally abusing them. Flamewars get started that way. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that you believe in the arguments you are trying to portray, but your attitude isn't helping anyone become convinced.

The general rule is that no matter what you are arguing, if you do it in an intelligent way without insulting anybody, you will be considered as an equal, and a conversation can develop from that. Getting defensive just results in threads like this.

anticheat.dll doesn't give a damn about hacks lurking in subfolders, or even on other hard drives.  It cares about hacks loaded into memory.

In order to learn "which is effective and ineffective" it's going to take more than making wildly incorrect assumptions about how these systems work.

That said, if you DO find any hack(s) that anticheat.dll doesn't detect, by all means, contact r1ch with the details.  Have you found any yet?
