Best Quake2 Map?

heya

im runnign a server now, but i dont know much about maps
which are good and which arnt
im looking for maps that are fun but at the same time has good gameplay and also good detail

seriously tho, some other good maps are fury, match1, colour, aerowalk, rene24, q2rdm, q2pduel & ztn2dm series, but it all depends on what kind of server you're running and who the people playing there would be. the maps I named off are all either for teams or 1v1 quake 2, not many of them would work good for free for all. I think most people would agree that the conventional q2dm1-8 map rotation is the way to go for ffa, the edge only servers get to be boring after 3 map reloads (unless it's the only map you know lol) and the ones that run through all the single player maps get somewhat tiresome because the game play on some slows to nothing practically, especially when 5 people leave because they hate the map. the only time I notice large numbers of people leaving on a dm1-8 server is when q2dm4 (lost hallways) loads and no one wants to get bfg whored.

no. lithium uses sv_airaccel 1 or whatever making the movement like qw with double jumps.. (but no strafe jumping)
