anticheat: RiDiX caught wallhacking (badsoul ref_gl wh)

the ref file was supposed to be replaced with the new 1 from r1q2 but the name was different, which is why i thought it was gone, no i did not rename the file to look like a normal q2 file, it  always was called that because when it was made, it was for cheating just like every other w/h. but its over a year old, not new, it isnt 1/4th as intricuit  as frk which has a whole lot more than just a wallhack.  i ONLY had this old wallhack for watching demos,  if i was gonna cheat id  use a bot and walls and radar and every other nubtactic u get from frk. 

rich is fukd in the head form what i see,  first he says i had to have had it loaded, now its only granny will know if he ahd it loaded,  well hey your right on that 1!   if u take all the info available and think about it, it makes absolutly no fucking sense for me to use a wallhack.  who am i gonna wall?  i go nade only to make my game more challenging to me agaisnt almost every q2 player in N/A .  The few that i actually need to try against are people like hang,pb,focus,py ect.   and every game i play vs them is put up as a demo on this site from either them or their buddies or from me.

has anyone given u even 1 demo of me where im suspected of walling? i doubt it.. 

like i said, if im gonna wall it would be vs hang and them right? we all agree with this? ok so watch the demos and ull instantly see im legit in every way, i dont even have timers, i dont use any sorta teamspeak. my q2 is very basic, made entirely for jumping purposes only.

ive told everyone a 100 times that q2 is only jumps to me,  now yer calling ME a waller for having and old wh to see what the people in the demos are doing,  well that's just special heh . ive played 2 days on the euro servers now with r1q2 and im already the fav 160 pinger who gets picked everytime alongside an army of 5-25 ping mofos lol    honestly and i mean honestly ive found q2 to be 10 times as fun on the euro servers where its almost like all of the people are at the same skill level with very little nubs to fuck up teams,  i dont even care about the 140-160 ping,

also i get to see all the good euros on their home servers,  was playing with purri and necro yesterday woot  then pur went back to q4 and me and necro owned it up.   id like to thank everyone for pushing me to get all seeing eye and start actually playing q2 again lol ps.

btw for what quadz said about only anticheat.dll would autokick me. yes thats true.. nocheat would only send a wallahck error and get me banned.

want my nocheat folder? :] u can stick the ref in there and attempt to join a server lol.   hey anyone who can adjust to hpb should come play on the real q2 servers with me and element, its good times!  canada visited the euros!

well this is from your perspective, which is traditionally deluded. r1ch said you have to have it loaded since anticheat.dll does not report files, through a simple key bind). i am very surprised you could not keep up with this concept. not!

if the wallhack doesn't work with that nc_visiblity check, it would make sense that he wasn't using it.

It doesn't matter if he actually had it turned on with the toggle, it was loaded when he joined the server. period.
that proves that he has a wallhack and he joined a server with it loaded and ready for use.


anyways..

I wonder if anticheat could be modified to also check which keys you have bound in your config as well as checking your current loaded vid_ref, and make a log of people with something set to "gl_modlate 1" (or any other known WH toggle)

Sometimes it's hard for people who know how computers work, to explain seemingly simple concepts to the layman.  (Note, this is not meant as a slam, as most people would rather just use computers than know how they work--and that's fine.)

Anyway, the simple concept here is this:

ref_gl.dll is the default OpenGL renderer, and it gets *loaded* by Q2, before you see anything on the screen.

The fact that the wallhack can be toggled on/off with a bind at any time is a separate issue from the wallhack being loaded.

Now, personally, I have a suspicion that when Granny was using NoCheat, this wallhack may not have been loaded.  (I won't go into the technical reasons for that at the moment.)  But there's no way to prove one way or another whether Granny may have a hacked NoCheat that would allow this wallhack to work.  So, I've been letting Granny do the talking, to get a sense of what his story is, and whether any inconsistencies would be apparent, etc.


In this case, I'd say Granny's on the right track:

...except that the demos of the people he accuses of wallhacking also look legit.  So his logic here is kind of undermined by his own constant accusations of others.
