Hey console, can you ban him from the actual q2 servers for using other peoples names?  I looked at the list of his aliases and he used Detector, ni-ux and leopards names at some point.

at first i thought the tastyspleen servers might cause a lot of problems, but then after seeing how professional things were handled, i thought the servers were great.   i mean, if you ban someone from the tastyspleen servers, there's not much fun in playing quake2 in NA, because everyone plays on the tastyspleen server.  i hope someone doesn't get banned for using other people's names; it's a game and really all in fun.
and thanks for all the hard work, the servers rule!

It's a temp ban.  I guess I'm jealously guarding my free time these days.  Since granny implied the demos posted were fake, i felt obligated to investigate.

I did give him a chance to 'fess up before I started looking into it, but he decided to stick with his story.

didnt say they were fake, i was implying that they weren't more recent then mine,  i guess the kronik got me banned,  and who asked u to waste yer fri night anyways?  hang asked u not me lol.. i dl'd the 3 demos hoping they showed the date at the start but none of them did he hits f1 for a split second each time so i cant even see,  so i closed them.  all he had to do was show me a screenshot or something of an ingame date of 1 of those demos, i have no clue why u decided to take some crazy long route that takes u over an hour 

btw, so my ip changed 16 days ago?  that's news to me, i guess it explains my wicked 80 ping on all the other tourney servers besides t4.

also,  ive never used anyone elses name for more than a sec or a joke,  leotard isnt the same as leopard and jerry would have no problem with me using his name for 2 mins lol jer would prolly gimme his modem just so i can play instead of him    as for ni-ux whos name i used for 30 secs, he's made 2 FAKE demos of me yes im saying FAKE quadz but u dont care aslong as its only negative towards me    oh and det's used my name a billion times  :/ compared to my once for yet again prolly 2 mins.

Oh.  Well, when you said, "u can have quadz check to see if the guy in yer dmeo matches my ip or w/e.   its incredibly ez to fake anything"... you SEEM to be suggesting the guy in the "dmeo" might not match your IP.  Because it's incredibly "ez" to fake anything.  (How else am I supposed to interpret your words?)

When it was just dahang asking me to verify the demos, I told him I was too busy.  When YOU also chimed in about having me check the IP because it's "ez" to fake anything... I figured OK, let's just do the goddam research and put the issue to rest.

I took the long route because it can't be faked.


Anyway. . . . The ban is removed now; but please upgrade to an anticheat.dll client.
