I kept getting kicked for some "bad model type" error.
Not often enough to stop me from playing, but at least once a map.
Also my plasma beam is all fubarred.

My question is this.
The maps we played were all stock maps afaIk.
I have many more maps that were downloaded years ago.
Are they in my standard Q2\basq2? Can I reinstall my ground Zero
without screwing up my map situation?

adam said he the same issue with aprq2 but fixed with r1q2
not the bad model thing, but the plasma beam

installing rogue wont do anything to your custom stuff
iv never seen any new custom maps, but i figured you probably had some for rogue somewheres

That plasma beam (LG) is sweet. Chainsaw is pretty cool too.

Dukie, I think installing rogue updates your q2 to version 2.1 or something like that. Better to use an installer, if you dont want to just add the .pak file and risk corrupting q2 files.

Installing Ground Zero upgrades you to 3.20 I think.

Yeah there are some custom maps for it.
I know there is a map where they connected several maps together. (The one where you can squish players in the tube)

Also there were some grand scale outdoor maps. Not sure if they were made specifially for GZ, but i used to play them.
There is also a Ground Zero edge mod. Similar to the Xatrix edge mod with a few for things.

Why they both have to include a variant of The Edge? I dont see whats so great about that map. Also, it would be awesome to combine rogue's weapons with xatrix's maps.

the server is still under development, we have some custom maps on the way and stuff
so thats when all will be setup
