Hi, I've been getting in the quake2 deathmatching arena for some time now, my favorite server being Xatrix of course, and I'm wondering, why isnt there a Rogue server in Tastyspleen.net? It had some very cool weapons on it.

I assume that's the other Q2 expansion pack. I got both with the special edition of Q4. I might play a couple games on the server, if only to play with what amounts to an LG (lightning gun) in Q2 =)

iv played it a few times, cant really remember it that much TBA

its not as fun as xatrix, but still worth it if quadz can manage yet another server

Here is a part of a review I dug up in the web

First up is the Defender Sphere, which fires at attackers and decreases the damage of their firepower.
A nice counter to this is the Double Damage, though dodging the duel attacks of the sphere and its proprietor is a tough job.

Next is the Vengeance Sphere, which pounds on opponents once the carrier's health drops under 25 percent.

The best sphere, though, is the Hunter Sphere, which targets and kills the bonehead who fragged the carrier. This is the ultimate last laugh, and trust me, it ticks people off. The spheres are timed, so no one is indestructible.

Other familiar items are the Doppelganger, which seeds an image of the carrier and attracts misguided gunfire, and the IR Goggles, which turn all entities bright orange.

Last, and best, on the list of deathmatch items is the Anti-Matter Bomb, a flesh-melting mega-bomb that can demolish rooms full of people. If the Hunter Sphere is the ultimate last laugh, hearing this thing go off is the ultimate, "Whoa!" People scatter like cockroaches when its tell-tale beeping sounds off, a hilarious sight well worth the cost of suicide.

Gamers will need a bigger backpack to haul all the additions to the arsenal. First up is an arm-mounted chainsaw, straight from the halls of 3D gaming lore. This is a nostalgic weapon that R.I.P.s through enemies with ease.

The armor-piercing RTF Rifle is similar in feel to the Nail Gun, and uses combustible flechettes. It is quite efficient in deathmatch, as it tears through armor.

The Plasma Beam is the coolest, and most original, addition. It unleashes a constant, flaming beam -- the first time this has been done right in a 3D game. It is best fired in quick, broad motions as if watering the grass... Of these weapons, the Plasma Beam is the most used, and most potent, in deathmatch.

The Prox Launcher might look like the Grenade Launcher, but it plants small Prox Mines on walls, ceilings, and floors, which wait for an opponent to speed past, then detonate.
This is great for setting traps. I got a kick out of unloading a cluster near an oft-used entrance, dashing off, and listening for the hiss of the door and the imminent "BOOM! Waaahhh!"

The Telsa Mine is an indelicate little surprise that lashes out at opponents with electric tendrils.

Great info you found Dukie!! Yes, I meant the other q2 expansion pack. It's a lot of fun, prox mines, the laser beam, etc. And also, the multiplayer maps!! There has to be a server with that expansion in tastyspleen, it'd be awesome!!

"The Saw is Family." I remember the mission pack well. I like the orbs too. If a server goes up I will play on it.

sent gator a special update for rogue

basicly, there was supposed to be another weapon included in rogue
the Disruptor, for what ever reason they disabled it when it was released
however, it can be enabled again, and shows up on some of the DM maps with ammo and proper graphics

if you have ever played the version of wod that has the disruptor in it, its exactly like that
im sure thats where the wod got(stole

ok, the server is running, but not in any "final" stage of development.

But it is there and running.

you can access the server by "goto dm1mod" (i dropped the dm1mod server for this).
