First off, the map marics56..DOESNT WORK FOR ME. I tried redowloading a different copy..It just says *******MAX LIGHTMAPS EXCEDED****

whatever the fuck that means..

also when i play on the server Xatrix and i use some weapons they are white diamonds that shoot out..I am obviously am missing peices of somthing..Where can i get the package (I'm on a mac - not that it matters, i just am not sure where to put them)

and RA2 is there anywhere I can download all the maps and stuff for that too - It takes so fucking long to download through the game.

if you're using the standard Quake2.exe (v 3.20) you may get that MAX_LIGHTMAPS_EXCEDED error in some maps that have overly-large amounts of light emitting surfaces. It's usually an error that the mapper would sort out prior to releasing the map since those maximum values are hardcoded into the game engine, and you can't really do anything to fix the amount of surfaces once the map is compiled.

Maric is usually pretty thorough with his maps but this could be an exception..

Yea....I don't know what to do with the stuff I downloaded from the ra2..I downloaded both that were under ra2..and then under xatrix..I don't even know what any of that is..or what to do...eh..

Just open "ra2250cl.exe" Just point it at your quake2 directory, It will install everything you need.

I'm not sure about the xatrix files though... I installed from a CD.

Are you going to tell me that a mac can't open a zip file? 

(The .exe is a self extracting archive)
If the .exe doesn't work on the mac, rename it to ra2250cl.zip.

If somebody could just copy there Xatrix folder and RA2 folder in their baseq2 folder and up it to Sendspace.com..that would be fucking FANTASTIC
