To continue mine and DaHanG's motivational speaking, I will agree with DaHanG. Flarez did used to be able to hang with the pros years ago though. He still doesn't try though, always overly and stupidly aggressive.

I don't think they are newb but I also don't think their overly impressive. I know I don't feel intimidated to play against them. However I never played against flarez really, so I can't say much about him. Meh...

well some of you already know my opinion about flar, he's my fav. player to watch... when he's on, his movement is nearly unparalleled (although dael and naym worthy of mention here  ). he often takes big risks with rj's, and he'll attack at times when most people wouldnt (and shouldnt lol), somehow come out on top.  even when he's rusty as hell its fun to watch him..  sure he'd get beat by players of hang and naym's calibur currently, but it sure was fun watchin him hang in there with purri with just a 35 ping difference last year  . i think if he practiced and focused more he could give any current player a challenge on most maps

All credit to Flarez, when watching him play you can tell he really loves to play q2 I never really knew about him untill a couple years back, when someone said I tried too hard to be like Flarez once. I didn't really know what they meant, because when I started q2 I always wanted play q2dm1 like Purri. But after watching Flarez play I realized it wasn't such a bad thing after all.

Think GYN once said that Flarez had this weird style of moving around because he didn't watch demos or rarely spectated other players. And I think he's got a point. He got a unique style. Annoyingly railbased, but besides that he is fun to watch.

Anyway, haven't watched the demo, but I'm too heavy in to EDL atm to really enjoy friendly games like this if the description is correct. Tried to watch the KoD vs Jakkari demo on demosquad, but it was the same: one player trying vs a rushing opponent = not very intresting anymore.
