Help me with a JUMP!

i want to know how can i do the jump in
q2dm1 when u try to run from the top of the elevator and fly to the megaroom's door
i 've tried so many times and i just need like 2 steps to be there but i don't know how to get this extra.
can u explain me how to do it?

this? just like the demo shows.. start in corner, jump to left corner of lift and finally tip of GL, thats how i do it.
