I have a 8-month old Chihua-hua mix, and she is awesome.The ultimate in a portable pooch.Plus I met a woman...while working that owns a cat I had 7 yrs earlier, and had to give up.She got him from the people I gave him to, they were getting divorced, what are the chances of that?She is thinking about giving him to me.

{Plus he was an awesome cat to begin with, more like a dog in personality.Both animals can be awesome, if you happen to get the right kind for you.

Dogs smell
Dogs need to be taken out to relieve themselves (or do it in your home)
Dogs hump your leg
Dogs can't be left alone for more than half a day
Dogs eat a lot
Dogs can be neurotic
Dogs slobber

Cats have essentially no odor
Cats use a litter box
Cats are independent and can look after themselves
Cats eat modest amounts of food
Cats purr

Both species are affectionate companions that bring joy to one's life. But I prefer cats.

I have 1 dog, 5 cats and 1 horse.

The smell of 3 cats = the smell of 1 dog.

The smell of 5 cats + 1 dog = the smell of 1 horse.

Not sure how many cats and dogs you have to have to eat as much as a horse, but I don't want to find out.

P.S. The horse is going away soon to become a police horse in Newark, NJ.. (I'm so proud.)
