Squirrels usually come in a variety of colors and can be seen close to the side of a highway. If you see one of these creatures you are likely in danger, I have constructed a list of things to do incase you encounter this situation:

1) Swerve your car into a tree/garter rail/the main character in Doom2.

I once picked a squirrel off from the 2nd floor bathroom window with my mah old bb gun. Clean shot right through it's neck. The trickle of blooding coming out of it's neck while it was falling to the ground is a sight I'll never forget. What a good shot!

Yea, good eatin'. Them tree rats was kilt with scattershot cause you can see all them holes and bruzes. Don't effect the taste none and thare fairly easy to fish out......ain't no fun bitin' down on a pellet. A good clean .22 head shot is a right smart better, if you're a decent shot with a rifle. I noticed the heads was missin' from the cookin' pan,,,\\\guess they savin em for brains and eggs breakfast.

Squirrel season is in full bloom here, in my area, too bad all my old hunting grounds have houses on them, or are lease only. Only public places to hunt around here anymore are Corp of Engineer (government) lands.

I suspect the Moisin Nagant would be ok for squirrel hunting if 1) it was actually accurate enough for headshots at 30+ yards, and 2) if you weren't counting on squirrel for supper that evening. The ultimate squirrel load is a .223 40gr sierra, 8 grains of ww231 pistol powder. Nice mild load (22 magnum like) with virtually no recoil or muzzle blast. Prints less than 1 inch @ 100 yards from a good barrel (like a Thompson Contender 16"). Tree rats make good eat'n.

you know, they taste very good for a very good reason.

They eat a diet of seeds and nuts and fruit, and they work out every day like an olympic gymnast.
