Who exactly gives these training sessions? BTF players? You only train beginners or also more experiences players?

Been awhile since there was a session..

The 'lessons' can come from anyone, Dahang did an overview and strat session for dm6.

I tried to do one for dm3 very early on, just covering some sounds and movement tips that were passed to me.

Defiant did an informative FFA session, Santana covered nades.

Jehar has done a great job putting it all together with turning the sessions into movies, and did a great article
about getting mind body and environment ready to play.

Anything you would like to contribute would be great. 1v1 and tdm tactics?

Hmm well, when I play on TS I only see dm1 and mostly 1o1 and 2o2. I never see them playing 4o4, nor are there actually clans that play pcw's, so it seems kinda useless to me to try to 'teach' anything about 4o4. And before starting with other maps I think people should first learn dm1.

Duel skill is relatively high imo on TS, as most players have a decent aim. The 2on2 skill is very low. Because of lack of teamplay. So i'd say what is needed most is a lesson on 2on2 teamplay on dm1. Almost all of the players that I have seen don't even know the basics. And the basics are mostly theoretic stuff, kinda easy to learn.

Oh sorry, I wasn't being clear enough. What I meant by how spawns work was: what can you do if you have x spawn at the start of a match, in 1v1? What is guaranteed, what's not. As for how sounds "works", I was really questioning what clues can tell you for the most part where your opponent is on the map. I just figured to ask these questions, thinking maybe it would save me some time learning this stuff, rather then watching a million replays and playing a lot of matches to figure it out myself.

Well one thing for sure, if you spawn beside the rail/water, get to the rail asap, you will sure win.

you go for things of high importance first... mega, chain, YA/RL, would be some, close to that order. Listen to where your opponent spawns to know what options are within grasp. Don't go for rail at spawn unless you're against someone who won't try to punish you for it(1/2 the tdm scene will let you, last time I checked). Don't go for rail in a duel unless you're stacked with health/armor....

I don't play TDM. But I was under the impression that most people just completely disregarded going for the railgun, and instead let the other guy go after it, then kill him and pick it up when they get fragged.
