I don't think, nocheat is useless, even if development may have stopped. It's one of my favourite quake2 clients under Linux, and I only quite recently switched to aprq2. Both clients have nice features, like clock display, gl_scale (which means resizing the console font size) and many more useful things.

Since r1q2 doesn't compile under Linux, it's worthless to me anyway, and it doesn't offer console font scaling (or does it now?), so it can't be used with higher resolutions without having tiny console messages that torture your eyes.

Nocheat is a good client , Sure theres hacked versions just as much as any other client . I would laff at anyone that called me a hacker because I still used nocheat ROFL ..... Just for your guys information the client does not change the players integrity if it is a clean version.

I have no problem with No Cheat itself, but i know there are tons of hacks that emulate it. And it just makes me feel that No Cheat can't be trusted anymore
