what is with the new map rotation on mutant?

I dunno when it was changed but the new maps there are awful, Ive asked several other people of what they thought about the rotation there and theyve all said the way it was before is better, and I know what ur gonna say "sean you can mymap anything u want" except like I dont know the names of any of the maps played there other than the ones I knew from tdm 1v1 (aero, fury, kryptonite, etc)

ive completely stopped playing on vanilla because of that pirate ship map, and now its on mutant too, I can understand some maps like the marics castle (getting away from a typical "arena" style of map design) but that pirate map should only be on mymap, there is no movement on it and its just chaotic

can someone please set it back to the old rotation ?

I use to hate the ship map also, untill I started snorkling with the railgun. Players climbing up the mast going for the rl never make it, nor do the ones walking the plank for the rg :) Then you have the ones rocket jumping to the outside wall who make good mid-air targets. It's not impossible, with a little creativity, to make the maps you don't like, fun :)

man thats all that goes on there, either ur getting railed from someone camping in the water or ur the one camping the water, its just pretty weak, i mean i still usually win the map but it seems rather pointless

i see what you mean about finding ways to make maps fun but why should i be subjected to maps i dont want to play, i mean unless the majority of the players there want to play on it (which i doubt) - its just like the amount of ppl that play at mutant has decreased substantially since the DM server went into play and now with these new maps that ppl have to download off the server since they arent inside the maps.zip located on the ts site im afraid its driving even more people away, and i really enjoy playing there

Two issues here, though...

1. You might as well play on vanilla, then.  Because, koth6 is neither in the vanilla nor the mutant rotation.  It's available only via mymap, on both servers.  But a given map can only be played once every three hours on vanilla.  Whereas on mutant a given map can be played once every 45 minutes.  (Today, on mutant, koth6 was mymap'd by Zoophagous.)

2. A few months ago, I was told in no uncertain terms that my rotation for mutant and railz sucked ass.  ("Anything would be better than what we have now.")  So, volunteers on the forums came up with the new/current rotations on mutant and railz.


For completeness' sake, here's the current rotation on mutant:

I think there was only one reply... but I'll check back there to see if there was additional feedback.)

I'd love to see dreams and qmass2dm6 added to the current rotation.  I mymap'ed qmass2dm6 a couple weeks ago and the 6 or so guys that stuck it out for the download enjoyed the map quite a bit.

oh I see the thread now, guess all this happened when i was in the hospital

um i can hardly believe ppl are mymapping it that much, i guess if thats the case im just gonna go back to playing tdm only, i cant stand that map, and i seem to be forced to play on it everytime i get on mutant, i guess if its a newb fest they want, its a newb fest theyll get

Whats with all the map rotations, I hate the EDGE, guess I will just have to play on Sheridan (city1) as most all the servers have the edge. Guess I will have to go back to playing NMDM!!!
