RAILZ and Tounrey 4 Server Problem Resolved~!

Okay many people haveing problems with the tourney 4 and railz server. If you are running R1Q2 you need to download the R1GL file   ( http://www.r1ch.net/stuff/r1gl/ ) and place it in your quake2/baseq2  directory.

I also download the r1q2 updater. ( http://www.r1ch.net/stuff/r1q2/download/R1Q2Updater.zip ) place it in the quake2/baseq2  directory.

Then double click the updater icon in the quake2/baseq2  directory. This should fix your problems.

I just did this may self and i can join the servers with no problems.

I don't understand.. railz + t4 are on different boxes as far as I know, and non of that goes in baseq2 ..

Yeah my mistake... quake2 directory! not BASEQ2

Damn,  and I thought maybe it was the railz crashing problem fixed

So ppl who didnt have r1q2 couldnt connect?

People who have r1q2 and couldnt connect to the server just need to download the r1gl file and the uploader..

Im not sure what causes this problem.. Only a few get this problem..
Causes could be..

1.) Our computers dont agree with it. (im running an emachine)

2.) The servers might require people to run r1gl... (not sure aobut that) wouldnt make sence.

3.)Im not sure how this r1q2 and r1gl work.. But when you update its has to do some sort of file log.. our computers might read that log diffrent than others.. so when you add in r1gl with the r1q2 and its does what ever it does. your comouter then reads it correctly..

Im not 100% about #3.. We will need to get R1CH to check on this. I know when i write perl scripts @ work (havent done in months) my EG ( #1 file wont run with out my #2 file) its intergrated.

But R1CH would know better than i would.  :rocketright:I HATE scripts!.... They make you mind go CRAZY!!
