I just *had* to get that off my chest. I don't play much, but drop by once in a while when I have the opportunity to play my favorite PC game of all time. I played a pretty good amount this past weekend on the railz server (that is pretty much the only one I play on---not to crazy about vanilla), and had a blast!!! Usually I suck pretty bad, but it was fun being in there and actually being somewhat competitive. I didn't loose every match, and I didn't win any, but always placed somewhere in the middle, which is good accomplishment for me.

Anyway, here I am at work, with only my laptop and external mouse that I am not used to, and there are people in the railz server! Not fair. I'm at work, and YOU are playing Quake2, and that is what I just *had* to make this post saying:

YOU SUCK!

I play from work, when no ones looking, but I can't use my speakers.
It would give me away to my boss on the other side of the paper thin wall.

It already looks kinda odd, when I'm supposed to be working on a spreadsheet or something
and my hands won't leave the WASD keys.... Some of the sales people were wondering why I work so hard,
with my tongue sticking out at an odd angle and my eyes never leaving the monitor.

If only they knew...

BTW, I had a good time shooting at you over the weekend. Glad to see you enjoyed it too!

Glad you are back into playing the game Firebird, rails is what drew me in as well,
but if it every gets a tad old.. come and play some tourney with us!

Wow, what a nice post.

tourney is just a name for a mod.
All weps, and they dont stay, they respawn every 20 secs
and its 1 on 1, or team games. Up to 4 on 4 I think.

the tourney thing you saw is the current tournament going on in that mod.
(its been going on for ages!! try getting 4 ppl all in the same place at the same time.
easy for ffa, but tough when it has to be 4 specific ppl

plz, wife, full time job, 3 kids? Im surprised you get ANY time to play.
no flaming from me, single, part time, no kids, no nothing....

yer way better off, fuller more rich life than I could even hope for.

If you hadnt tried it yet, say the word 'goto' and it will give you a list of a ton of other servers.
Mostly tastyspleen's, but also a bunch more. And tells ya who all is on.

you like rails, check out the monsterkill ones 'goto mkduel' is really fun rail 1 on 1 and team games.
