back in the day I used to listen to "Kidney Bingos" from that "wildly unheard of band"(clumsily phrased and most embarassing admission). Wire and Gang of Four were hugely influential and cast a shadow comparable to the Pixies.

Sweet!  I've only heard Pink Flag so far, from Wire.  A friend turned me on to the band and said it was one of the rare albums he liked in its entirety, so i purchased it post haste.  I've been loving it for a decade or so, but have yet to become acquainted with their other offerings.

I don't care what anybody says, I still love Wire Pink Flag !!!!!!11
