New Test-server

I have put up the Xquake server, exact same config etc et al at a different server, for some testing to see how it can handle game servers.

Anyone is welcome to try it out, but be patient if it is not working as it is a test box at this time!

Not sure if it's the load on the new server or what, but my pings are HALF of what they are at xquake

im not at home yet but i pinged xquake from here at work i get 49ms and the other one i get 40 humm...
dukie should have good connection here considering he dials into the planet isp as well

is the planet isp part of internet america? or is the other server colocated on theplanet ?

I got one hostname, ia04.theorion.net but it will change. I just added turkey.xquake.net as a record, it should propogate soon!

Naw, we are not the same company but basically worked out a deal where we resell their servers, under our brandname http://www.neo.net/. Essentially they supply the network and the servers, we supply everything else.

just being on the other side of Garland, right off of Forest(hwy66) doesn't hurt my dial-up ping either

It shows up as "Uranus Quake" on gamespy!

I ping about 135 when I'm just standing.
Around 150 while running and 160-180 while continually running and firing the hyperblaster.
'Course, I was the only one there too

yep that is good.
most servers I ping 240-to 325 range so that is most excellent!

i just got on and no ones there my ping was 18
id hate to see what scrotums ping is since he was already hitting 18 at xquake lol
i was getting avg around 25-30 at xquake but well have to see when we get traffic on that other server

i just traced it. i get 11hops to Turkey X and 15 to Xquake

I'm pinging 40's and 50's to it, usually ping 80 to 90 at xquake   Great aj pings even better, there goes my one kill per day on you :shock:

Just checked it out from my home computer--I pinged at 31, which is quite a bit better than what I usually get from home at xquake.

Wish I was at work, home of the 18 ping, to check it out. If you get 1 ping, does your head explode?

Hey no problems.. Its also now running a counter strike server if y'all are interested in hi-jacking it and squeezing the rcon password out of me again
