Brightness Tweaks

Is there any other commands other than "intensity" and "gl_modulate" that control brightness and gamma? When I increase the brightness using those commands the areas inside the shadows are still do dark and I can't see the enemy.

Thanks, vid_gamma is what i was looking for.

I got it the way I like using:

set vid_gamma .5
set gl_modulate 9
set intensity 1

You can increase the intensity to around 2.5 ---> 3.0 to richen up the colors since the other 2 only play with brightness and it can look washed out. I've never equaled the color and balance I used to get with my old Voodoo cards running 3DFX. Too bad those cards eventually fried themselves.

I've still got a couple voodoo2 cards laying around somewhere and a voodoo3 still in use in my other computer.
