It's been going on in my head for quite a while now. I've been itching to play it again. The battle to release my teammates from prison, or rather the battle to get to the escape duct in the jail.

A blast when you get the hang of it......and there's turrets!!! How can you go wrong!? (don't answer that ...

I think we can all have a blast trying it out, gets pretty addictive.

Especially when you have a team that works together to build the human staircase to reach the jail's secret tunnel.

I distinctly remember being one of two playes left on a 16 player team that weren't captured yet and rushing the base. The second I hit the release pad I got railed from above but before spawning all I could see was all my teammates being released.....still got slaughtered but man, what a rush.

Yeah this mod can bring out the best in ppl's gaming.

You can work on simply fragging the other team so there's plenty to shoot, or you can get all stealthy and ninja yourself into the base to bust out your team.

Ok so a couple of you would love to play it again. Poifect!!!!

But still no response from the powers that be.

I would ask that Pygmy be the server to be switched. I loved playing on that server when it first began but now nobody plays on it anymore (*sniff, where will I play PREDM1?

)

It's got what it takes to run a Jailbreak server I'm sure.

1) Sounds like a great mod.

2) Most of the servers are linux. The admins would need a linux server file.
http://tastyspleen.net/quake/downloads/mods/jailbreak/ has the server.zip for a windows server (i.e. gamex86.dll).

I see a simple net search with "jailbreak + linux" gets some hits. Good thing it was release open source.

I just read into the Jailbreak site and "GENTLEMEN BEHOLD!!!"

The latest 2.5 server binaries for linux are attatched to this post.

Latest version I believe. You will require an GCC 2.7.2 build Q2 binary to load it, I recommend using R1Q2 of course smile.gif. http://www.r1ch.net/stuff/r1q2/ - r1q2ded-old is known to work with this JB binary.
