Here is a demo of me and Wheet in Sheridan having a 1on1 power battle. A power battle is when both players hold 200armor/200cells for the power shield. The battles can be long and intense which I find to be a ton of fun. This demo is post worthy because of the fact me and Wheet were all over the map battling (It's a rather large map!). It's not your average spam rockets then use super shotgun to finish off you opponent type of battle.

Key to staying alive long in these battles is what I call 'pitting'. Pitting just means recollecting armor, cells and health as quickly as possible to stay alive (typical way to stay alive in any quake2 battle...). Of course to some "hardcore" (dm1) quake2 players may think this is totaly lame but who really cares what you think? I don't. To some people this is a lot of fun. I would suggest you give it a try sometime!

P.S. - This is a friendly battle! Believe it or not people can post demos of friendly fights instead of trying to make somebody look bad. Amazing huh?

This was an awesome fight, Sheridan is all about battles like this but this has got to be one of the best I have had in a long time. 1 on 1 can still be a lot of fun on a large map if both players are willing to be aggressive.

Trying to take advantage of the lava trip ended up being my demise, otherwise it would have went on quite a bit longer probably.

Good example of how Sheridan is meant to be played.

I've never played this mod...what's really different in it? Do I have to download something to watch the demo or play that mod?

It is free for all on the city1 map with a king of the hill flair. The demo is a good example.

The specific changes (thanks to wheet) are in that the hyperblaster is instant and you can chuck norris spinkick people.

Typically, play involves whomever has the longest streak of kills with no deaths tries to keep the lead.

We try to meet Sunday nights.

Some of my most exciting matches have been on Sheridan. You should try it.

lol def Ive played on sheridan since 1998, well the original sheridan, and back then it actually had more than 3 people on it

- ive had lots of fun games but on a map that size i dont see whats great about a 1v1 game on it, especially when they dont frag one another

sheridan is awesome when theres 10+ ppl on that mother fucker, get a ps/ra/mega and do some crazy rjs in the massive arena and then hit rails as you fall

as or your sister jager, ususally nights im busy tagging kobras mom but is she hot ? - maybe i could fit it into my schedule somehow

Played there since 98? Hmm I don't remember you. I used a bunch of names in the past... mostly I played as eulogy there.

Well you're the type of player that likes to play railz I'm guessing. One shot kill type of thing. I personaly enjoy the thrill of the fight. Once I frag a person after a ten minute battle it feels far more satisfying to me. Kinda like screwing a girl for an half hour instead of busting after two minutes of penetration.
