With wallhacks I think it's safe to say our preferred approach is to record a demo of a possible wallhacker, and play the demo back with a real wallhack turned on.

Keeping in mind that few art critics are master painters, I disagree that one has to necessarily be a "top tier" player to detect "top teir" cheaters.

Just some comments from the peanut gallery,

no console once again you are correct, you dont have to be a top tier player to detect top tier cheaters with that level of scrutiny that you just posted, i think thats fine, but as far newbies who just spec tourney players, itd be really hard for him to tell if someone is walling, how can he when he himself does not know how to track well based on sounds, a player could totally dominate someone else in terms of sound and always find their opponent after spawns, then subsequently be accused of cheating, however thats normal skill

lets say now a player who realizes this and knows that people track by sound, sounds in q2 arent perfect for tracking, a certain string of sounds will indicate only a few places where your opponent can be, however they are still multiple places, a person who guesses out of these three places(or however many places regarding the string of sounds) correctly each time and owns his opponent, maybe seen by this novice to be a legit player, however he may actually be walling

this is why i said that people who arent top tier prolly cant detect a cheater because of their lack of knowledge regarding sounds, of course the waller can always make it super obvious, but generally they are in the business to keep legit looking, i didnt intend to say that the admins of tasty couldnt detect cheaters cause they arent at their level, especially given your level of scrutiny, more like just the hecklers in spec cant

why not, because you are uncertain if i have sense? well i doubt my affirmation of my own sense would hardly change your mind, but the people who really know me can perhaps qualify me, and if you do read my posts, however toxic in motive, they use only logic and are not flawed in that aspect
