Hi BigTrucK,

Thanks for the positive write-up! Much appreciated...

Just wanted to mention for what it's worth - we don't at present run any Lithium-based mods at TS.

My experience with Lithium is that--for whatever reason--it seems to disrupt Quake2's delicate physics bugs that allow strafe/circle jumping and (maybe) some of the trick box jumps. (I don't remember the latter, but I've definitely noticed the former.) We have a number of trick-jump-lovin' players at TS, thus the primary reason we don't run Lithium.

For the morbidly curious (probably no-one

) we run R1Q2-SSP on most of the servers, and R1Q2-OSP on the tourney server.

No problem! Appreciate the great servers. I have edited the post and taken out lithium. You'd think I would have realized it that after playing for 5 years. Physics don't mean nothing to me though, I just like blowing stuff up

Dude I am right there with you... I consider the hook a hack. Tried to play instagib at Eagle's Nest (hook enabled server) and was gaid beyond recognition.

Hell ya it would! Right now I play on Hal's west coast RA2 server. Good peepz and pretty decent skill level. Not to mention low 30ish pings.

hals is the shit, their gxmod server fucken owns too, the best players ive ever seen would go there, zero4 started off there, and makavelli would occassionally visit back when he still played

Never played gxmod but ra2 is the shiznitch. Z4 came with one of his buddies to a gaming event we held many moons ago. Needless to say he breezed through the competition.

oh for real? i never seen zero4 in person, i jus knew of him through gx servers, thats cool though what area you guys hold lans in

We used to host out of Southern Cali, more specifically Anaheim. Right now we are looking for a new location anywhere in Anaheim where the rent isn't too expensive.

Fo sho let ya know. We always throw down ra2 style tournies like 2am in the morn after all the newer games have been played. Good times fo sho cuz everyone is buzzed by then.
