I started out on CTF! I had a clan of my dormmates in colleges... the STD's. Forget what it actually stood for.... I was the clapper

Anyways, I love the strategy of it... be sure to bind a key "use grapple" and "drop tech" and "drop powershield" and "drop cells" so we can switch all the stuff up and make our flag/tech players indesctructible so we don't lose 'em!! Well... if not it'll be fun anyways

Well -

Thanks for coming out tonight. We've been able to play with a full load of players for about 2-3 Maps until the Server crashed. It was great fun and I hope we can renew the experience.

I do love CTF, it is a shame we don't play it more often. How can I get people hyped about CTF though? on the rare occasion I try, the response is lukewarm. Does nobody remember how fun 56k hooking around McKinley's Revival was? The triumphant horn of a succesful capture, the blaring warning that your flag has been taken, that creepy as fuck sound that MPlayer used to make when you entered a lobby/game?

It's not too difficult to adapt to.

#1) quote fail

#2) both threewave CTF and LFire CTF only have the 4 I mentioned. Chaos DM borrowed those runes as well. I logged onto the tastyspleen CTF server to confirm. If you have a vampire rune then you are probably on a lithium server with CTF enabled.

There was one or 2 more types of q2 CTF that popped up but were never very popular. One involved dropping flags on DM maps before the match started. I severely doubt there are servers running that today.
