We tried to run vanctf, but the linux binary was too old/incompatible, and crashed immediately.

We were unable to find the source code for vanctf. I tried emailing the author, but got no response.

Any other ideas for ctf?

i'm going to try to find the files. sorry for the rude tone in my post, i was just expecting the usual rude response that i get from q2 players on the servers.

Damnit, I haven't been able to find anything. Do you have any idea where to find them? What exactly happened when you tried to run the server? Can you try again?

okay im back. i havent been able to find these files yet, but maybe someone can just reprogram it. i mean how hard can it be exactly? are there any programmers here?

I like the ctf configuration, but wouldn't argue against a change.

Well vanctf is very different from threewave. IMO it's far superior to it b/c you're playing in the SP maps, which make for much more interesting games.

I'd love to give vanctf a try... it sounds like a blast playing on the SP maps (thought i shudder at SPACE)

I used to play van CTF all the time back when it was still alive ..... We had a ton of fun. The single player maps really do make it interesting.

And ... why doesnt anyone like space? That is prob one of my most fav maps
