I didn't know that a voted kick also meant a ban.
Also it was at least another 10 minutes before it allowed me to reconnect therefore tefh forced about 15 minutes extra on that map so he could finish it.  Exactly the same kind of thing Bigd used to do.

LMAO.  Toxic, your stupidity is unrelenting.  tefh is one of the best admins the Jump server has had in quite a while...and as far as I know, you are the ONLY person to have a problem with him.  We stopped giving a shit what you think a looooooong time ago anyhow, so if you have a real problem with tefh being an admin, just leave and don't come back.  You'd be doing most of us a huge favor.

BTF you don't even play jump so your opinion counts for fuck all in this instance.  Badbrent needs to grow a few braincells before he can voice a meaningful opinion about anything.

I did fuck all wrong there.  tefh wanted to complete the map, which is fair enough, and if you look you will see I actually voted YES to give him more time to do it.  Then he puts 500 minutes on??!?!  Then takes 495 of them off when I complained.  So by that time we'd had 9 minutes extra time.  Only an admin can do this.

The kick I got was fucking uncalled for.

Is the server admin working for the players or just for himself?  How can he behave this way?  The votes he put forward were rigged.  The second vote for 5 mins extra time (after 4 minutes already) just IS NOT fucking possible to do unless you have admin powers.  By the same token the kick/ban just IS NOT possible to do unless he uses his admin powers.  This makes a mockery of the voting system.  Put simply it's an abuse.   And, as I have mentioned already it was about 10 minutes before I could reconnect so, I can only assume, tefh put EVEN MORE time on the map so he could complete it himself.

If this is acceptable behaviour for a position of trust and responsibility then it is an extremely sad state of affairs.

tefh being one of the best admins the jump server has had in quite a while?  I think not.  What he did here was straight out of the Bigd book of selfish rules and we all know how that ended up.

This needs to be addressed early on before it gets out of hand.  Critter doesn't do it, haunted doesn't do it.  Who the hell does tefh think he is?

toxic is an idiot, what I meant when I said that I agree with the title is that tefh DOES abuse his admin. Toxic's improper example with his unintelligence were a bad combination to get any kind of point across. First I would like to say tefh could potentially be an awesome admin. I've known him for awhile, I was the highest level admin at ozric's jumping server when he first started to jump. (2 years ago) Anyways, he has definitely put forth an awesome effort in trying to fix maps since he has been admin. However, many maps were NOT meant to be fixed at all by the actual map makers. (Shortcuts that were made purposely by map makers) Tefh sort of self-proclaimed himself as someone who has the authority to remove parts of maps that were placed their by the map makers. I addressed him over this matter and told him that changing a map (removing a shortcut in this case) is not soley his decision. He responded that 'he is the authority' and asked me 'What are you gonna do about it?'

Tefh has also been using the pvote cmd improperly (force passing votes), the mvote cmd improperly (forcing map change), and the boot cmd improperly.

It can be argued both ways if his actions were abusive or not in this situation. However it's certain that he shows a lack of respect for fellow admins (especially those more experienced than him) and jumpers.

There are several occasions that tefh has abused his admin. I've addressed him about this multiple times and he does not care. The first time I talked to him about it he banned me, and I had to reconnect / change my ip to connect to the jump server again.

I think tefh should be atleast downgraded 1 admin level to keep him from demonstrating 'his authority'. I think this should happen mainly because I think that tefh cares more about personal satisfaction / the label of an authoritarian than he does about the interest of the jumpers.

Now, on the one hand, Toxic has already admitted in an earlier forums thread that he acts like he does, on purpose, to annoy people.  This means I'm a little less inclined to give a damn when he comes in here bitching about something, than I would if it were someone who didn't have a consistent history of deliberately trying to cause trouble.

I agree with the title of this thread.

For as much as he has the opportunity to, yes.  He's also given me the business already, though I don't condump over such issues.

The jist of the discussion involved him explaining that he knows more about the Jumpmod community standards so, among other things, he decides how much a shortcut should be allowed cut off before he erases scores and blocks it - all while saying my opinion means squat seeing as I've never run a server before (I was unaware of that before he told me).  Irony, though, always comes out in my favor, as Critter and a few of us were playing the recently removed (again) XQNewb maps only to find Tefh had placed two blocks in the water so people can get out if they miss a jump.  Problem is the second block actually creates a shortcut, so I can see where this is going.

I don't support the decisions of Tastyspleen (or its admins), but I have no problem with the eventual outcome concerning Monkey.
