I've been watching "The Ultimate Fighter 3" reality show (for the UFC) on SpikeTV for the past number of weeks, and tonight is the live finale, at 9PM EST.

Anyway, I like UFC a lot and was just wondering if any of you guys try to follow it as well, learn who the better fighters are, etc. Quite entertaining if you ask me.

UFC is pretty kickass.. with how horrible a condition american boxing is in, its the only local alternative..

Personally i dont care much for the reality show, most of the fighters that come out of that seem slightly sub-par to me, i mostly favor the MMA/Gracie schools of fighting, the reality contestants seem to go with more Striking/MMA/Wrestling, and i dont see it being as affective

I've recently gotten into UFC, including Ultimate Fighter. The reality show really shows everyone's personalities, which makes the fights more interesting.

I saw the Hughes/Gracie fight (I have it saved on HD if anybody wants). How about Chris Leben, formerly 14-1 I think, getting obliterated by new-to-the-UFC (but veteran elsewhere) Anderson Silva? Man, talk about ownage, geez. That was I believe this past Wednesday night, the 28th. He's quite impressive.

Hughs/Gracie was an excellent fight

Of course silva would win, he's one of the most consistent fighters around today, pretty versile (sp?) too, seen him knock standing opponents out with his back on the mat

Read up on that Gracie guy....quite impressive! The leverage part reminds me of when I was ~17, cocky and buffed from football and thought I'd shove my old man around a little in some playful rasslin. He was taught basic judo by a world champion while in law enforcement and even though he was a small wirery guy at the time he flipped my ass flat on my back in the blink of an eye.

I love UFC fighting. But not The Ultimate Fighter so much.

But I only followed the first season of The Ultimate Fighter. ( the one with Chuck Liddell and Randy Couture )

I prefer to watch actual fights. And not the soap opera that you get with reality shows.

BTW, I've watch UFC since the beginning. Tito has been a very good well balanced fighter from the start. He's a much better than average fighter. Close, but just slightly short of champion quality. He's an extremely cocky bastard that I can often relate to (not that it ever shows,

yes i watched a documentary about Tito calling on Dana and then he backed out after Dana spent a LONG time getting back into a fighting state of shape. that made me change my opinion on him. I still admire his fighting technique BUT I can't respect him anymore after seeing that. like what a pussy.

Dana trained hard for that.

and to explain it all in short to you Tito fans, Tito basically in a public press conference surprised Dana White (president of the UFC) with a challenge to fight being all cocky (prob thinking Dana would say no).
Dana had to accept for his own pride, and he wanted to punch Tito in the head i'm sure lol. Dana trained hard during these months, Tito continued to talk shit. After all Dana had been running a company for years and out of shape. ez fight to win for Tito yes?
When it got close to the match Tito started to realize what a dumb idea it was to challenge the president of the UFC because:

Dana was now in shape, ready and showing no weakness.
does Tito really want to continue shit talking the President of the UFC?
If he wins would Dana ban him from UFC?
If he loses his own pride/ego is hurt since he was the challenger.

and then Tito never showed for the weigh in. Prob a good choice considering the circumstances, but if he would have kept his mouth shut it never would have gone that far.

im going to look for the documentary because it shows Tito talking so much shit and Dana being calm lol.
