Anyone else read a story that id software was getting offers for a buy out and Adrian Carmack was forced out of the company?

That story was from last September,and I haven't heard anything more about id in a long time.Who knows?

Most important to me, is that John Carmack doesn't appear to be very involved for quite some time.  Supertexturing and other work, but nothing that is as innovative as doom and quake.

Then again, what do I know.  Most of what we read is rumor and speculation.
