thanks, replaced mortis with that. since it kinda sucked for a rail map

if no one has any further requests i will mark the ones that are on the server
and upload the ones that are not. you ok with these lists console?

I have no idea.  I don't know a lot of those maps by name, and don't have time to review them all.

Here's my suggestion.
Change the rotation now.  Only then will you get any real feedback.
Most of the feedback will be on what maps to take out of the rotation, but feedback you will get

I'm refering to mutant only, I can't stay interested in rails long enough to play through two maps straight.

Hmm I'm not too crazy about those lists you posted but I don't think it can get any worse than the current lists. I guess one of the most important things to consider when picking maps is the server's average population. Also if maps were designed for let's say DM it's no wonder they don't really work as RailOnly. Normally the Item placement heavily dictates the flow, so when suddenly all items are removed and you start with RG most parts of the map become useless as everyone will be hasting towards the hotspots. I've been thinking about some maplist suggestions but to be honest I gave up and don't really care that much anymore about rotations, I just play what's there or leave:). Obviously most people have their own take on picking maps and handling servers and more importantly a lot of players are kinda 'mapophobic' and don't really know how to judge maps or maybe they're just fine with the maplist(s) no matter what's on there. Anyway my soup-du-jour add-on suggestions are:

for mutant:
hardange/marics12a/yog2dm4/baker/lunout/simple/derelict/el2dm8/ztndm3q2

for railz:
jex2dm2/marics27/railwar1/circ-o-rama

well its not like i picked them at random. i went through them to see if they would work
and i i changed a few. there are big ones and there are weird ones. you need to have some variety

this is why id really like to do this with 3-5 people. people who know thier maps

it was harder to pick for railz then for mutant
so there are some duds there, which i will certinly replace with your suggestions
for mutant, i was trying to stay away from maps that people had played alot. to keep it fresh and new

Haha, YOU BASTARDS!!!    There are plenty of fine maps in the current rotations.  I'm not saying they're ALL good, but, shit, if you think most of those maps are bad... I THINK YOU MUST SECRETLY HATE QUAKE2!!!

Haha, no... It does surprise me though sometimes how different people have completely contrary opinions about what makes a good map.

Anyway... I'm totally into trying out brand new rotations, on a regular basis even.  But, "I don't think it can get any worse than the current lists" just gave me some surprise, considering the current rotations evolved from many players' input, and I know there are some damn good maps in there.

Mutant is always my first choice (when there's people). I'm getting bored with marics bfgs maps, I really dont like bldstorm. Maps like tltf should be on the Railz server. My only advice is make sure these maps aren't totally rail-dominated (tltf).

I'm up for your new selection. I'd like to see grom_dm3 in there, it's been a long time that it hasn't been on mutant.
