Big Gun issue

Im at the big gun area . the problem is when i shut down the laser i have 10 secunds to escape. I cant figure out where to escape i have tryed run back to where i started but dident work i have tryed run in on the corridor that opens but time dont is enough so i dont know what to do here any suggestions?

go back to the big room where you fight the flying monster.  go down the long hall down the stairs and then get into the shuttle that is open on the end.  go all the way into the shuttle and push on the driving console

thanx for the help i managed to do it lol i thought that was the final mission but it wasent lol this game singleplayer is truly very long hehe

yep it is long.
after you finish it get the q2 expansion packs "The Reckoning" and "Ground Zero".
They are just as long, good and have new fun weapons.  Especially Ground Zero
