No doubt in my mind that the Razer Diamondback is better than all Logitech mice! Been using the Razer now for quite awhile with no problems. Any Logitech that i've bought (MX-310, MX-510, MX-518, etc.) lasts maybe a month. The micro switches under the mouse buttons are SHIT!!! They dont last at all if you have a heavy finger.

I think, the Logitech MX310 could be called an excellent mouse, it's precise, has good weight and shape, is neither too small nor too big etc.

But I said: "could".
The problem is (and others already mentioned comparable things) that they do not last long. In my case, they usually last exactly half a year. I now have my fourth MX310 and am still under warranty (5 years), but it gets annoying to always have to go to the store after 6 months of perfect functioning and demand a replacement!

So my question to all of the frequent players (who play more or less daily and for hours) is:

What mouse do you use?
And who (among the daily players) has been using it for more than 1 or 2 years without suffering from problems? (like keys that get stuck, auto-moving forward etc.)

I would really appreciate if you could recommend me a good and long-lasting mouse that is worth the money (preferably an optical mouse). Thanks.

Microsoft optical, Never ever ever had one go bad, not a button or anything...

I got em for free awhile back, id get new ones just to get a clean one.. or a diff color.
but really they all still worked fine...

I bought a Logitech MX518...but I hated it. The right side rubbed against my finger since I have big hands, so I took it back. This is the best mouse for my hands though...have had at least 4 of them over the years, and have never had much a problem with them at all (minus the lack of buttons).

I used a Razer Viper. It's a very nice mouse, although its been discontinued.
Besides my el cheapo logitec, I've never used any other... But you can't go wrong with a Razer.

MX518. I can't use many of the mice out there because they're all geared for right-handed schmucks. I'm a left-handed schmuck. The Microsoft Optical (can't remember the model) that's white has such a high hump on it that it causes hand cramps.

mx518 - get it - you will like it. I got one and it is just fine for me. Actually more than I need.

My 2 cents. I also do cad-work and it's good there too.
