I sure as hell havent. Im too busy on the dm servers, but has anyone actually beat this game on sp (I like Quake 1 sp better but Quake 2 MP is better then Quake 1's and 3's and 4's)

finished quake2 on hard mode, no cheats took about 8 hours over two days. also done all 3 add on packs

Medium setting, those ammo depots and shit are the worst, they are so boring.

Its very dull. Its basically

"Kill strogg"
"Move on"
"Flip switch(es)"
"Find Secret Area"
"Move on"

iv done it and the mission packs
it is indeed very easy imo, pretty boring after your first go

the mission packs are better i think, especially xatrix

Yeah, I've beat it and the two mission packs.

I think its more fun to play with someone... Set up a COOP game over your LAN.

I couldn't beat it, it was too hard, and the robots were too scary.

I run thru Quake2 in SP mode every now and then just for a change from DM. I'll twist it around just using rail for the whole match and maybe grenade launcher for the next. Its still a valid way to practice different types of shots.

If you want to see a fast run-thru check out "Quake2doneQuick2" aka Q2dQ2. Its done in 21 minutes 6 seconds. Some pretty crazy jumps in that one and some huge shortcuts. It might still be at Planetquake. If not I can post it here.
