Hey guys! Just introducing myself to the tastyspleen community. I like your guys railz server, I totally cannot stop playing it. I finally found this game (after playing it from a friend). It is IMO the best quake in the series.

Well, hope to seeyah guys online. My names novaflame and Im usually on the railz, vanilla serverz.

And yes, even Quake III, IV, DOOM III, Half Life, SOF, or any of the others i've played have ever really been able to duplicate the game play in Quake II.
As a testoment, what other game this old is still played and at this level.
Even Teenagers are finding it better to play despite the outdated graphics.

correct me if im wrong, but half-life ran on the quake1 engine i beleave, and they really really modified it to make it look better
it does look like quake2 though for sure

Really? Ahh I was guessing since it came out a year after Quake 2. If so they did a pretty good job (I do play Half Life once in awhile on my bros pc)

Yeah I agree mac does suck. It took me hours trying to get my Q2 game working yesterday and it only takes minutes on a pc.

Interesting, never knew that. It looked Quake 2 to me but maybe Im playing too much Half Life Source. Lol.

i started 6-7 years ago, which was near the end of quake2's heyday
