i'll be honest, i mean all you guys have some height on me so probly have longer arms.. shorter arms is a definite advantage on bench press. first time i benched 7 years ago... 155. max. its all in where you put your time. guys twice my size are in disbelief when i go in the gym, cause like i said my arms aint that big. i did enter a bench press comp here a few months ago and got 5th out of around 25 people.. it was all by weight/strength ratio some 5'3" 170 pounder put up 330.. fucker.

It's not the arm length that matters, it's the location of your muscle's attachment to the bone, relative to the joint.
Being a gym junkie like you are, Metal, I'm surprised you're not aware of such simple truths.
People with larger frames actually have a big advantage because of a much higher potential muscle mass/strength limit.
Probably not in the weight/strength ratio, though.
This is why making a lifting competition without deviding it into weight categories is utter bs.
