Just thought I'd put the demos up here as well, since I'm sure not everyone browses the demos on q2scene. It's the final in the European Duel Tournament #3, between the two top q2 duellers in Europe Damiah (Finland) and Purri (Sweden).

I have yet to watch them all, but the one I saw was pretty damn good. Q2 doesn't get much better than this imo. All demos from Damiah's pov.

Just watched them, and yeah, that's pretty amazing stuff from both players. On chastity both hit crazy rails all over the place, and each of them has some nice hyper-ownage (Purri on dm1, Damiah on dm3). Damiah seemed a bit nervous on chastity losing track of purri a few times, but else he kept his cool playing his usual calm style. Pretty impressive considering the huge following this final had in the Euro q2 scene, this was probably the most anticipated duel for at least a year or more.

Obviously a very tense game! Great skill on display. Recommended watch

Extremely well-played by Damiah.  He stayed calm, patient, and played his game against a very dangerous opponent.  At this point you could make a strong argument that he is the best player in the world.

And of course he owes it all to the training he got here in Tastyspleen Tourney 3.   =P

I think I remember him beating one of the TC players badly.  That demo must have gotten lost...

  You mean these Ghost? Two consecutive duels between Dinsum and Damiah. Their first match is 300X better than the rematch, with a tight score, bruising rockets from both players and a surprisingly punishing rocket defense from Din. Damiah figures him out in the second and puts on a rail clinic.

Yeah, DinSum put up a good fight in the first game, but Damiah was a tad stronger on the strategical part and put on a show in the second, meaning he managed to adapt to his opponents game somewhat better. But as others said yesterday, you can't play arcade style vs Damiah.
