I agree w/ granny(about the only thing) about the set up in dm1 having a coorelation with the 3.15+ physics... The distances between the jumps are just too perfect.. I mean why would they create the set up to DJ then strafe to mega(tall block, small block w/ backpack armor, and even smaller block)??? Stuff like that are obvious signs to me that they planned to change the physics later on..
Here's an interesting test, though. Load up q2 and set sv_airaccelerate to 10, then map q2dm1. According to the 3.19 release notes, this gives you the 3.15 physics back. How many of your favorite edge jumps can you still do?
ztn2dm2 is the best map w/ airaccel in q2 imo. you can get pretty fuckin fast with it if u are good, but if ure not ull be very slow :p
as for the armour to light beside mega to mega, ive done it first try in 3 of the demo's ive posted so far, this is not even close to 1 of the hardest jumps on edge. and yet maybe 5-6 ppl can do it
