On the dm server, we used to allow voting for any of dm1-dm8 and also match1. But dm was created for people who like dm1-dm8, and several people said they didn't like playing the maps out of order. So the voting was removed (except for match1.)

If you want to vote for maps, you could play on mutant, or vanilla, or railz, or pygmy, or vanilla2, or xatrix, ...

I'd really like a 1v1 ladder. I've looked at OGL, GGL, Team Warfare, and Clanbase and nobody has a Q2 1v1 ladder set up anymore.

I know it would take an effort to get one set up, but if this feature was there, I'd use it.

Perhaps making a list of maps for each server and taking a vote would help weed out the bad from the good.

Man, DM really has to be updated (maps), maybe you can atleast add some maps in the voting menu !? I'm starting to loose interest to this game 'cause of it

. These few maps over and over again, that sux. And other servers are not cool, i mean railz is cool, but my ping is higher at railz and it's not as fun as DM. Is it possible to review this stuff ?

Sorry, the dm server was created specifically for folks who want to play only official idsoftware deathmatch maps dm1-8. (I put match1 on there optionally, as it is also an official id dm map.)

Note, that's strange about your ping on railz being different than dm. railz and dm run on the same CPU, so the ping should be exactly the same.

Have you tried mutant? It runs all custom maps, but you can mymap almost anything.

Before i couldn't even play on railz, i was loosing internet connection all the time on railz, now i just have a larger latency $:-\$

Would it be possible to provide some log analysis for hosted sites? Are you comfortable making Apache's access.log readable by users? Or would you consider installing a parser? I'd like to see how many downloads Quetoo is getting from ts.net, as it's now the primary mirror. Thanks quadz!

Hi,

The web logs for each person's site are in their account root directory under "logs".

Dear 'Lords of the Tastyspleen Forum',
Help me for I might have sinned posting here. After 30+ minutes of searching, I still can not find forum rules regarding new threads and some other topics listed below. I will start here as this seems the most logical place to start, for forum suggestions however poor they might be. Please feel free to admonish me, remove post, or move to a more appropriate place.

Would it be a waste of forum space if all known Q2 mods and associated downloads were sticky or used in a child board?

I looked for a comprehensive command list for quake2 servers for admins here using the search feature. Again I dont know the needs of the forum readers here but would posting a link of the largest known list of commands, hurt.

I do understand both can be accomplished by some googling and a visit to quakeworld, but I personal would find this and a few other tweaks helpful for visitors and forum newblings like my self. I would like to say again what a wonderful community you guys have here. Just trying to add to it.

Again this is being asked by 'Newbian Maximus' feel free to slap him / me in the right direction.
