[D] Don't care one way or the other. Doesn't matter. It happens so infrenquently that if I don't like it and it screws up my favorite map, Oh well, it will come around again, or if I enjoy it it happens so infrequently that I won't get tired of it.

I could kinda do without. Some maps its kinda fun but for the most part i like the grav as is but thats me

id say the latter, it totally screws up all motion/ movement, in turn screwing up the game.

sometimes tho ive hit the gravity lottery on back to back maps. i guess i hit the lottery ...a few times..
it makes you play a little differently changing up things. but still fun on somemaps..some its odd.

I'm not a fan of low-gravity maps, BUT

(1) this is the only lottery I ever have or am ever likely to win;

(2) I have noticed that it tends to free up the often overcrowded server, since those who hate low gravity often leave when it comes up. This is kind of unfair to those folks, but it does have the advantage of providing an opening, even if it is a crappy way to do it; and

(3) some people love low gravity and get positively giddy about it. It's a good way of having something for everyone, which is what's so great about this server.

SO...even though I don't care for it, I'm in favor of keeping the lottery for the greater good. UNLESS it turns out that so many people hate it that it's not worth keeping.

OK, now I'm going to think for awhile to see if I can come up with a way of being even more wishy-washy.

I like the gravity lotto...except when you get 800 gravity...thats not fun...there should be like a 1% chance of getting heavy gravity since no one really likes it.
I do like the overall 5% chance though...makes ya feel special when you get 2-3 gravity lotterys in a row...being in the 5% for 3 maps is good odds..then I know its time to go to the casino

hey guys... i personally don't like low gravity because there are only a few maps it really works well with. Is there any way to make the lottery come on when a certain map is up? Then you could have another vote to see which maps people like low gravity with, and the lottery would only be possible with those. If not... my vote is NO GRAVITY.... wait, I mean... NO LOW GRAVITY! Thanks for asking

IMO
medium gravity is great for any map that you have played enough to be very familiar with the gameplay.

i dont care for it on new maps that i am still learning,

but it spices up and changes the gameplay of old maps, giving them some new life.
all the old maps that i am sick of i can enjoy again with a different twist.

and since the learning stage is pretty short (2 or 3 times and feel like i have learned it well enough), i dont even mind much when it triggers on new maps.

overall i think its a GREAT feature of xquake.
