It actually works quite well if you just clean it out once and rock it back up into a little cookie.

i'm not claiming to be an expert : ) . i'm just saying i've smoked crack and done coke many times.  i've seen people attempt to smoke coke, that's not really freebasing - freebasing takes the cut from coke, and makes it chemically smokeable.  here is the science as to why people  put shit in coccaine to make it into a proper smoking form (crack)

yes, technically, freebasing isn't smoking. it's more on par with vaporizing...
(ie. you don't smoke meth, you vaporize it, because it burns too quickly(explodes))

you can base regular old coke too, right off a sheet of foil or a hotplate, I just recommend cleaning out the chemicals they used when it got rocked up and stamped in the first place.
it actually seems to smoke for longer this way instead of being incinerated the moment the flame touches it.


taking out the ugly shit that gets cut into coke and the unknown chems used to clean it originally, would be what I meant by "cleaning" it. You might be adding chemicals to clean it ( at least you know what they are), but depending on the actual method you use, the end product can either be full of other shit and smokeable (crack) or refined down to a rock that is more pure cocaine than the input.

of the two ways, crack is by far the dirtier, nastier choice as it contains more substances than the active narcotic chemical.
I guess this is where the public opinion regarding crack comes from.

freebase coke and crack are not the same thing. it even says so right in your little wiki link.
this is the same thing I've been saying.

My point is: there are multiple forms of "smokeable" cocaine, only one of which is "crack" cocaine.

if you use baking soda (bicarbonate) and water, you can make crack out of perfectly good coke.
if you use ether (or other similar methods) you can make pure coke base instead of crack.

both can be freebased, and both can be made from regular ol' snortin coke. (which is actually smokeable too)


Crack unfortunately is the dirtiest form, and the cheapest.

people usually just take coke and sniff it, i don't see much difference in putting some baking soda in it to make it nice and smokeable
