I walked away from the Vancouver Party Scene the moment I realized I thought I had to put a straw up my nose to enjoy myself. Half way through a rave I got up and left, caught a cab home and sat in my bed contemplating my next steps very carefully.

I've seen many people destroyed by that stuff.

Daemia, you describe a poem that I think originated close to here in Prince George. (at least that's where it's rumoured to come from). That place is full of Jibtek Ninjas.

I found this "faces of meth" link via the web page Defiant! had posted.

Many of the "after" pictures shown are truly sad. But this one lady. . . . her 'after' picture is almost an improvement. (Except for the sores.) Nice hair.

Those aren't the worst pics I've seen.
hell, I looked at worse in the mirror for a year after I got hooked on that shit
in high school. I dropped 45 pounds (out of 175 total) in 16 months and it looked like someone took
a belt sander to my face.

It took a couple trips to the courthouse and quite a bit of will-power
to get me away from glass (not to mention a total lack of money and pawnable goods),
and I've been clean for more than 3 years now..

Never going back...

2 people that I used to get all spun out with have died since, and neither of them was older than 25.
one of them was a friend of mine for 10 years before he crashed his car running from the fuzz, cause he didn't
want to get caught with a goddam $50 sack of shit...

I agree that meth makes you feel quite "nasty".

It always left me with a really slimy feeling all over and an empty
(and nasty) feeling in my guts.
It sure didn't improve my temper either.
