Is R1Q2 doing this?

First, there's the Jump server resetting my download preferences, now I'm downloading into the wrong directories.  I was just now on Mutant and downloaded icepick.bsp into Quake2\maps.  It's done this before, not just with other maps, but with sounds, environments and even screenshots.  They're supposed to be in Quake2\baseq2\* and I just got through cutting/pasting/deleting all the copies.  My settings.cfg has all my game???? values remmed, and it's been that way for years, which means something else is altering my filepaths and the only thing I can think of is the same thing that's resetting my download preferences.

If R1Q2 has anything to do with this, or if those 'modifications' that were made do, please correct the issue immediately.  Then we can fix all the other bugs.

Its been happening to me too... only I'm using NoCheat ATM.   :raincloud:

Even typing in "set game MOD" doesn't work... I just restart when going from one game to another.

Definitely sounds like a peculiar problem.  I myself use r1q2 (b6359 currently) and frequently GOTO all over the place and haven't noticed this problem.  There's no "maps" directory in my Quake2 folder.

As for the GOTO command... All it does is use q2's "stufftext" mechanism, to "stuff" a connect command into your console.  Just like if you typed "connect somewhere.net:279XX" yourself.  Anything that happens after that is completely out of the hands of the GOTO command.  :miffed:
