Author Topic: Anyone notice bot activity on DM Server ???? (Read 5218 times)

I'll make this quick, as to not make anyone suffer through countless examples. It's just that when I play other servers on TS I do very well, but seems I can't get in a frag on DM to save my life. I think there is a lot of players coming and going using different aliases each time they come and go. Ya'll know the rest of how things go, alway's knowing exactly where your at, never missing long shots, chain guns following you no matter how you dodge and duck, and dead on rockets at close range no matter how your jumping and strafing. And the one thing that burns me up more than anything else... 150 Armor just grabbed the MegaHealth and emptied my rocket launcher at a guy. He avoides ALL Rockets splashes landing near his feat, throws a SPIT BALL and I roll over and DIE. Hum, must've had more Armor and health than me. Whatever. Anyway, has anyone else noticed these things???? Any feedback would be apreciated and would also help me decide if there really is botting on DM or if 80% of players on DM are really just that damn good. BTW, Screw my spelling, who cares.

(Hehe I know you say screw the spelling but the topic says DS, don't you mean DM? I think Ds would care:P)

I sometimes play on DM if there's some activity and of course with a small amount of players the pace of the fragcount is a lot slower than on the overcrowded servers. And that usually means more time to gear up, use sound cues and to predict.
So yeah I agree that sometimes it's harder to frag someone on DM, depending on their skill and sneakiness and your own.

I don't think that it's just a matter of them being better, I think playing DM with just a few players automatically makes you more cautious. I know I play differently on DM than on Vanilla for instance.

the caliber of player is often much higher... in fact it is not too unusual that the DM players are ALL above the usual Vanilla crowd.
I joined a few weeks back and it was all FFA heavyweights in the game - Punk, Ax2grind, Elysium, Android, Leizu, Kyper (IIRC)
I felt like Stallone chasing that chicken the whole time.

I didn't read all of this thread, but, a lot of this " BOT " thing comes up.

Remember WE have been playing a game that's been around for years, and many of us " Hard Core " players have been playing it for years.

Its only natural that our skill level will increase , almost Machine like, some more than others.

Then there's the other BS thats associated with calling / accusing a player for botting.

I have no idea how a BOT is used , but , I know what to look for by your input.
