Railz server crashing

The railz server seems to be getting more and more popular and it keeps crashing.  I wish I could offer a way to fix it, but I don't know anything about servers.

well. everytime it crashes, i scroll up and i see some newb had typed GOTO VANILLA.. i think thats what is crashing the server..

well with osp, if ur spawning with anything besides a blaster, spawn protect is automatically turned off... osp does  have its quirks


and yeah, the server crashing has been going on for the LONGEST time now.... hope it gets fixed soon

Good eye.  I've configured things a couple days ago so I'm getting crash reports from the server now, and indeed, all the railz crashes seem to be happening in conjunction with a client disconnecting:

Note that this isn't specific to the 'goto' command, or to the vanillla server.  If you typed "connect somewhere.net" in your console manually instead of letting 'goto' do it for you, the result should be the same as far as the potential to crash the railz server.

At least it's a clue, now, as to the nature of the malfunction.  I'll need to recompile r1q2 server, I think, in order to get some more debugging info.

It crashes on map change sometimes. Happened just a minute ago. Nobody was going to vanilla that I saw. Not complaining - just adding my $0.02 info. Thanks for your tireless efforts console.
