i dont think it is either, but not much else it can be
im gunna restore it to the factory settings and see what happeneds

if google didn't work by it's ip, then it's not dns
here is a google ip to test again 216.239.37.99
as i said before check the lites, and then go through the steps i mentioned
you probably just need a crossover cable
