I would like to announce the release of my first deathmatch map zthrDM1. It is supported on both standard q2 (currently has issue working to fix) and q2r, but the look and feel of the new q2r is where this shines. The map is q2dm8, but 100 percent re-envisioned and rebuilt from the ground up, leaving only a vague feel of familiarity. Bot nav file included for q2r.

I thought the map design was really fun and it will definitely be a great ffa map. The new textures are really cool!
Regarding the negative points, I found that the
Plasma Beam
on top of that big pile of boxes was very difficult to obtain. I know it is a very powerful weapon, but for beginners it is almost impossible to get hold of it.
The large staircase that leads to the top level of the map (almost straight to the rail) has a pool of lava underneath it. It would be fun to leave this ladder as a trap that instantly plunges you into lava, activated by a button nearby.

Sweet man, ty. Yeah. I know double jumping takes time to learn, but I do believe with today's hardware it's pretty much smashing that space fast twice and figuring out the angle the character should be at. Noted for future use of weapon placement tho. Ty. BFG is in LAVA.
