Was there a purpose to this demo that I missed?  Looks like a cheater to me patting himself on the back for ruining the fun of some newbies at a server  not his own.

well said.  maybe there should be some considerations taken.  The rule around here is don't cheat.  proved cheating will earn you a ban immediatly, except that applies to tastyspleen ONLY.  Unless they are a known cheater on a list, or word of mouth from one admin to another.  But the thought that is discomforting is the possibility people could be cheating here, but not getting detected.

Agreed - although historically it can be shown to be some measurable "statistical certainty", I think.  Most of the cheaters we finally catch with a revealing demo, were playing at least awhile here before they were caught.  (Therefore it is perpetually discomforting.  )

It might be not unreasonable to ask, if a cheater demo is posted, what date it was recorded.

it was recorded about a year ago im guessing?? maybe even less actually... it was like a few months before metal quit q2. I think owning nygang newbs with ratbot is funny, sorry if anyone finds this humor sick or inhumane. I guess I am heartless. If you find any of this suspicious or discomforting, then i am suspicious of your sanity, or lack of anyways. Ratbot doesnt work real good w/ 200 ping, but then again according to titties i use ping hacks, aim bot, and wall hacks.. so you NEVER KNOW with me. The thing is, accusations or suspicions don't bother me at all, It kind of makes me feel cool. I AM THE COOLEST!

The server IP logs I think fairly conclusively prove that you're on dialup.

Well, think about it this way.  Historically, a lot of cheaters that have been caught on our servers had sort of a 'griefer' mentality.  Haha, "owning" with bots is funny!!  ... So it's supposed to be insane not to learn from history right?

So, yeah, some folks are going to go - shit, he cheats on other servers for fun... Not everybody can tell the difference between harmless fun and when it's OK to torment players who want a legit game, etc.

So it's like, was the demo posted for scientific purposes?  A study of the well-known difficulty of being certain of spotting hacks?  Was it posted for sociological purposes to say, heh, griefing can be fun!  People are going to wonder, and if they didn't wonder, I might also wonder about their sanity.

No matter what the situation, owning anyone with hacks who expects a fair game does not seem cool.  If someone doesn't find humor in this, this makes him less sane?  200 ping or not, as long as it isn't a choppy connection (high packet loss) then you should be all good, and even a person with ratbot and 200 ping can obviously own, since you did say you owned them.    But the main point is that cheating for power, and getting a kick out of it is the mentality of those who do usually cheat.  Most people come here to relax and have some fun, most are in their mid twenties and up.  They don't come here to deal with bullshit, but to get away from it.

It was on my metal's laptop (t3 connection at UNC, for those who don't know him) and also, ratbot does _NOT_ work with high ping.    But the main point is that cheating for power, and getting a kick out of it is the mentality of those who do usually cheat. It concerns me because of the extreme joy you recieved out of these and other malicious activities.   And I don't pretend to be an admin.  I administer the demo's section on these forums along with the tastyspleen tourney site, and the Tasty 500 FFA.  I however am not an rcon admin, or an admin over the whole forums.  Opinions and Ideas do not make me an admin.  Nor do they make me appear so.

Isn't that what your doing right now?  No one has accused you, but your argueing to prove a point that you supposedly don't cheat here, or anymore at all, or only sometimes.  And if a cheater brags about it, and admits to something that took place over a year ago, thats makes them less like the characteristics of a cheater?  How do most 'wrong doing' people get caught?  They brag, brag, and boast.

Do to the time frame of when the demo was recorded It may very well be possable that this hack gets on to any of Ts current servers since I basicly talked nygang through their anti cheat set up unless he didnt do somthing I told him to .

well I'm not ganna critisize you personaly over this but Ill voice my opinion on game hackers (for any reason) .

I feel that people who have been cought or confesed to cheating on any game server Should not be allowed to play multi player games compatitions etc.. I also dont believe in second or third or fourth chances either .
