I would love this too! I thought they looked really cool and originally I think they were gonna have a swoosh sound when you changed weapons, but the weapon change is kinda slow for a swoosh unless you're using a mod with quick weapons. Anyhow, I digress...

I had the same problem so I put the folders into a pak file. I attached it to this post.

well, for some reason it doesn't work in baseq2, but I got it to work in other game- /mod - folders.
and in a pak - file it also works in baseq2 ?

Yep, the pak file in baseq2 method does the trick for me.

 I'm assuming the base game will read the paks before any folders, so any .pcx files in Pak0 will trump any .pcx files that are in folders in baseq2.
