TS.Net Forum and Servers Maintenance 8/24

Hello everyone,

The tastyspleen forum and Quake II servers will be down for a few hours tomorrow 8/24 in the morning PST. For updates visit in the tastyspleen tv's https://discord.gg/zt8mRp5j.

What's happening?  The ISP is physically moving the server rack and it's a power-down and that downtime might be 2 to 3 hours in the morning starting at 07:00 CST.

Owners of servers hosted on tastyspleen.net should be prepared to login and restart if necessary. Additionally, all IP addresses will remain unchanged.

It may be a bumpy reboot, but do not panic we'll be back up!

Lol, you may have a slight problem there, maybe you should have an amnesty clearing of your tastyspleentv discord blocklist if reading updates on this are actually a thing.

Why? Anyone blocked from the boards or channels doesn't need to know. This is a maintenance action and doesn't concern them.

Who is Saxon? Someone who was banned previously and came back with a new name? Call me crazy, but I tend to immediately distrust someone with a month old account who suggests granting full pardons to the trolls and shitheads who have played their part long and hard enough to earn a ban.

Take it easy and settle down, i have a private interest in one of the servers, don't make a fuss about it.

Which server? I'll make sure it gets restarted. PM me if necessary. There are currently 55 Q2 Tastyspleen.net servers plus the ones hosted here on other user accounts.

The server has been successfully re-racked and the web service is up. Restart of game servers is manual operation in progress.
Note: WallFly will be up in about 1 hour.

The WallFly system and the stats logging/reporting system is proving difficult to grok. It was in an account we did not have access to prior to today. It may take a little time to get WallFly back to buzzzing around.

Stats should be operational again.

I've witnessed some peculiar behavior on the odd gameserver (maps not rotating on railz for example), if you notice things not acting the way they should, let me know and I'll see if I can do something about it.

OK, I have restarted pretty much all the Quake2 game servers that were running when the system was shut down. I picked up one or three just now. If I missed any, please PM me from this site so I get an notified asap.

Please, feel free to point out my "hypocrisy" somewhere, anywhere at all.

Comments like that are big context clues that lead me to believe you DO INDEED have a longer history here than one little month and you are indeed trying to skirt away from the earned reputation for your past behavior.
