Handedness problem

One of my friends just recently got Quake 2 after much prodding from me, well he has a problem. He wants to be able to view his hand on the screen, and for some reason it is not working. We have tried the in-game menu, from the console, and the config file itself, to no avail :? . In the config file it is set to show his right hand but it does not show in game. Any help with this would be greatly apprieciated :D

If FOV is larger than 90, the hand/weapon will not show. Check the FOV.

Ah, thank you for the help. He had his FOV set at 120. That fixed it right up. Thanks :D

Can we ban these bots in DM and other servers that just spam bad jokes non-stop? I tried to join earlier and it took me 15 minutes to get in because there were about 10 of them connected

I've been sick with Q2 since 2007. It's incurable.
Dying and reviving is common. It's a shame the QT was good.
