You're still not getting it.

The people making these videos are engaging in UNUSUAL behavior, which is baiting the cops into interacting with them, at which point they refuse to be reasonable normal human beings.

Cop: "Why are you filming?"

His job is to maintain law and order. Filming shit might not be against the law, but it certainly is UNUSUAL, and it's gonna cause him to question what the fuck you're doing. I see no reason why a person shouldn't go ahead and admit "I'm engaging in a 1st Amendment audit.", or something to that effect. A cop wondering what the fuck you are doing when you damn know you're doing something unusual doesn't make the cop a fucking nazi gestapo officer, it just makes you a... troll, basically.

Again, you look out the front window of your house and see some guy just standing there on the sidewalk staring at your house through his eyebrows like the section 8 crazy dude in Full Metal Jacket. You look again an hour later,... he hasn't fucking moved at all. You go out and ask him what he's doing. "I don't have to answer that. Am I being detained?"... is not a reasonable normal personable response to that question. That's the "I'm prepared to be a gargantuan asshole" response.

It's weird how both of us have had completely polar opposite responses to these kinds of videos. Because when I first started noticing them, I was like you. I was completely appalled by the behavior of the cops. But after seeing these videos again and again and again after well OVER a year, I've gone the other way and I actually have sympathy for these poor stupid cops falling victim to these assholes attempts at trolling them into violating their rights.

In the case of the cops refusing to give someone a complaint form, yeah, you can legitimately get pissed off about that. That's them attempting to cover up for their buddies, the same kinda bullshit that movie Serpico was about, only the cops aren't taking payoffs from drug dealers, but they're still engaged in concealing a crime and witness intimidation, which are charges usually attributed to "organized crime".

the videos D2 posted are a waste of time. i know he likes to think he's on the cutting edge of what tyranny looks like, he hasn't seen a thing. when a cop tells you to move you go. unless it's your property and there is no reason to be holding you. it's just wasting everyone's time to do what they do. if you are compliant, you have less of a chance of being accosted by the brutes. if you comply and they still have it in for you, then they are overstepping their bounds and deserve a good verbal thrashing. videos i post are more inline with police harassment and terrorism.

that quote is to save the person time and money from jail or court. until that time,  yes most laws are for serving politicians. i'm a voluntarist, in which i believe in minimal government. MINIMAL as in next to no government anarchy. if we could actually maintain the republic  version of society it would be much better than most alternatives.

A good portion of the population are beneath-the-surface sadists to some degree. Have you ever played a shooter video game and shot the different body parts of dead bodies just to see what would happen? Then you fit the bill too. Maybe you're not gonna kidnap someone, duct tape them down to a table and dig their right eyeball out with a butter knife before breaking out each one of their teeth with a hammer and pointed chisel... but given the right circumstances, you'd enjoy being the one causing someone else pain and misery in some small measurable way. Ratting out a bad waitress and getting her fired. Watching your annoying neighbors being forcibly evicted. Leaving the toilet seat up on purpose when your wife constantly tells you to put the fucking seat down when you're done. The reason people get off on sadistic behavior is power. They enjoy feeling powerful. Whether it's the power of being the cause of someone elses misery, or the power in doing something where they are not subject to any rules and the possibilities of their cruelty is limitless.

And here's the problem you have with too many cops. They do not fit the optimum psychological profile. And mental states change. Someone who might've made a fine cop 2 years ago could always become a thuggish sadistic asshole in response to his environment. And being a police officer, someone charged with enforcing the laws upon other people, naturally that person is going to become conditioned to believe that they automatically have power and authority over everyone else around them in every situation. Once that belief is seated,... the possibilities of their cruelty becomes limitless.

What officer dickbag didn't realize was that it doesn't take much pressure hitting someone directly in the temple to KILL THEM (15 or 20lbs of force). Most cops wear steel toed shoes or boots. If you or I ran up to someone our friends had tackled and kicked him in the side of the head like that wearing steel toed boots, no doubt they'd be charging us with aggravated attempted murder citing the boot as a deadly weapon.
